Trajectory for Low Energy Buildings

Australia's future looks a little more promising with a plan and commitment towards zero energy buildings in Australia. The Trajectory for Low Energy Buildings was introduced by COAG on 1 Feb 2019. It sets out a roadmap for getting there with encouraging first steps starting with cost effective strategies for 2022 edition of the National Construction Code (NCC).

  • Setting a trajectory towards zero energy (and carbon) ready buildings
  • Implementing cost effective increases to the energy efficiency provisions in the National Construction Code (NCC) for residential and commercial buildings from 2022
  • Considering options for improving existing buildings in late 2019.

We're more than ready to hear this news and feel that maybe, just maybe, Australia might be catching up to the rest of the world.
